Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 17, 2026
Last updated: June 17, 2026
1. Who we are
Godveo ("Godveo", "we", "us", "our") is a product of LifeStream Television LLC, located at 12138 Central Ave, #251, Bowie, MD 20721, United States. You can reach us at support@godveo.com for any question about this policy or your data.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the Godveo mobile app and related services, how we use it, and the choices you have.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you give us
- Account information. Email address (always), display name, username, and avatar URL. If you sign in with Google, X (Twitter), or Apple, we receive these from the provider with your permission. With Apple, you can choose to share your real email or a private relay email.
- Profile content. Display name, username, bio, avatar, social links, and any background image you upload.
- Content you create. Videos you record or upload, comments and replies, likes, subscriptions, and any other contributions you make in the app.
- Reports and blocks. When you report content or block another user, we record who you reported/blocked, the reason you gave, and any free-form details you provided.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Usage activity. Videos you view, comments you read, search queries, sign-in events. We use these for product analytics and to maintain accurate view counts.
- Device and technical data. Device model, operating system version, app version, language, time zone, and IP address (recorded on sign-in for security purposes).
- Preferences. Settings you toggle in-app (theme, autoplay, notification preferences, privacy preferences) are stored locally on your device and synced to our backend so they follow you across devices.
2.3 Information from third parties
- OAuth providers(Google, X/Twitter, Apple) share basic profile information with us when you choose to sign in with them. They do not give us your password.
- VideoStreamline is our content infrastructure partner. Content uploads are stored and delivered through their CDN.
We do not purchase personal information from data brokers or other third parties.
3. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and maintain your account, including authenticating you each time you open the app.
- Deliver the core functionality of the app: showing you videos, posting your comments and likes, maintaining subscription relationships, sending in-app notifications.
- Enforce our Community Guidelines , review reported content, and act against abusive accounts.
- Improve the app — fix bugs, understand which features get used, and plan future features.
- Communicate with you about important account changes (e.g., security notices, terms updates). We only send marketing or promotional notifications if you've opted in (Settings → Notifications → News & announcements).
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
We do not use the content of your videos, comments, or private messages for advertising or to train AI models.
4. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information.
We share information only in these limited cases:
- Other users see what you make public. Your display name, username, avatar, videos, public comments, and subscription counts are visible to anyone who can see those pieces of content. Settings → Privacy → "Show my activity on my profile" controls whether your subscription/like activity is visible on your profile page.
- Service providers. We use trusted third parties to run the app:
- Supabase — authentication, database, file storage.
- VideoStreamline / lifestreamcdn.com — video upload, transcoding, and delivery.
- OAuth providers(Google, Apple, X) — sign-in.
- Apple Push Notification Service — when push notifications are enabled.
- These providers process information on our behalf and are contractually limited to that purpose.
- Legal compliance. We may disclose information when required by law, valid legal process, or to protect the safety of our users, our staff, or the public.
- Business transfer. If Godveo is acquired or merged, your information may transfer to the new entity. We'll notify you and you'll have the option to delete your account before any transfer takes effect.
5. Your choices and rights
You have several ways to control your information:
- Edit your profile at any time in Settings → Account → Edit profile.
- Manage notifications in Settings → Notifications — granular toggles for new subscribers, comments, likes, live streams, and marketing.
- Manage privacy in Settings → Privacy — control whether your activity is visible on your profile, and see your blocked-users list.
- Block any user from the user's profile or from any of their videos or comments. Blocked users disappear from your feeds.
- Report any video, comment, or profile that violates our Community Guidelines.
- Delete your account in-app at Settings → Account → Delete account. We permanently delete your account, profile, videos, comments, likes, subscriptions, notifications, and personal settings. Reports you filed against others are kept (with your identity anonymized) so our moderation history isn't lost.
Depending on where you live (EU/UK, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and other privacy-regulated jurisdictions), you may have additional rights including the right to access, correct, port, or restrict processing of your personal information. To exercise any of these, contact us at support@godveo.com. We'll respond within the period required by your local law (typically 30–45 days).
6. Data retention
We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your data within 30 days, except for the limited information we are required to retain (e.g., transaction records for tax purposes, or content under active legal hold).
Aggregated, de-identified data that can no longer be linked to you may be kept indefinitely.
7. Security
We protect your information with industry-standard measures:
- All connections to our servers use TLS encryption.
- Authentication is handled by Supabase with PostgreSQL Row Level Security policies that prevent users from reading or modifying each other's private data.
- Passwords (for email sign-in) are stored hashed.
- Access to production data is limited to staff who need it to operate the service.
No system is perfectly secure. If we ever suffer a data breach that affects your information, we will notify you promptly as required by law.
8. Children
Godveo is not directed to children under 13(or the minimum age in your jurisdiction, if higher). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at support@godveo.com and we will delete the account.
Users between 13 and 18 should use Godveo only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
9. International transfers
Godveo operates primarily out of the United States. If you use the app from another country, your information may be transferred to and stored in the United States or any country where our service providers operate. We rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers from the EU/UK) where required.
10. Changes to this policy
If we materially change this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last updated" date and, for significant changes, notify you in-app or by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
